Gratte Brothers Ltd - London

Jameson Projects recently completed works on a project for one of the UK’s leading Building Services Companies, Gratte Brothers Ltd in London.

Our involvement in the project was predominantly based on site after an initial familiarisation period spent in the office. We were tasked with liaising with the client’s professional team on the second stage fit-out of a nine-story office block in the Kings Cross lands area of London. The office also consisted of a basement and two levels of plant space at the roof level.

The first element of Jameson Projects’ responsibility required the checking of a consultant’s design for the project on the mechanical side. This validation exercise entailed ascertaining where any missing information may not have been provided by the client’s consultant at the time of tender and putting requests for information (RFI’s) through to them to provide this. It also involved keeping the information up-to-date due to the on-site changes.

Following the resolution of the missing information, a full check on the heating, chilled water, and fresh air services was then carried out, allowing us to determine the exact loading on a floor-by-floor basis. This was then compared to the base build information so a determination could be made as to how the commissioning of the systems could be undertaken. We liaised with our client’s commissioning specialist on this

Specialist systems were also part of our brief for the project. These included several kitchen supply and extract systems, along with the client’s critical cooling systems for their communications rooms at each level of the building. We prepared the relevant information in order that our client could forward the necessary technical submittals to the client’s consultant for review and approval.
